Humanity Organization for Civil Activities announces the start of its new project “Tamasek Shabab” in Telkaif district, in partnership with The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and funding from #actalliance and in coordination with the Center for Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the University of Duhok.
This project aims to promote a culture of peace and social cohesion and to achieve equality and social justice among the various components of the district by providing the opportunity for 45 young men and women from the district to obtain a training workshop on the topics of social cohesion addressing differences and building peace between the different components, mechanisms for designing initiatives and measuring their impact, to support and develop youth capabilities. During the training workshop, youth will design and implement several initiatives to enhance community cohesion and spread the culture of peace in society.
It is worth noting that this project is being implemented in coordination with the Center for Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the University of Duhok, where training and workshops are provided by the researcher and trainer Siddiq Siddiq Hamid.
