Project Description
Humanity is an organization that was built on the power of a young volunteers group, and accordingly gives a lot of attention to volunteer work and support youth who are willing to become volunteers. As a result, Humanity has created a volunteer’s system, which gives youth the opportunity to Volunteers at Humanity for a month to learn about organization work and develop their skills, and then be granted a certificate of completion of their volunteer work.
As a part of our volunteers system, we have created a group of Duhok University students and called them Volunteers for IDPs. This group was made up of 6 university students, who wished to prepare a project for their classes in college and also get experience working with the IDPs.
Goals of Project
This Project had many groups related, and IDPs related goals and these were:
1. Capacity building for the young university students, to work with IDPs and in an organization set up.
2. Give some basic English classes to several adolescents.
3. Give awareness to many people living in Sharia camp, about important topics for the community.
4. Hairdressing more than 65 individuals living in the camp.
5. Giving the children the chance to draw, by providing them with drawing materials and spending time with them drawing.

Project Beneficiaries
(155 Children and Adolescents).
– 65 Children got free hair cut.
– 30 Adolescent got awareness topics.
– 30 Adolescent got a basic English language course.
– 30 Adolescent got Drawing&Painting course.
